  | | | | Roger Hayden Johnson Roger Hayden Johnson travels throughout the Southwest and Europe seeking architectural and marine subjects bathed in the intense colored light of dawn and dusk. Beginning at age ten, Johnson taught himself to paint in oils the landscapes near the small Iowa farm where he grew up. He later earned an M.F.A. in drawing and painting from Drake University in Des Moines. After living in Paris and Munich, Roger moved to Colorado where he continues to live with his wife, Mary.
